Gabriela Dabrowski Biography, Family

Gabriela Dabrowski is a Canadian Tennis Player and She was the first Canadian woman to win a Senior Grand Slam Title. Gabriela was born on April 1, 1992 in Ottawa, Ontario province. She started playing Tennis at the age of 8. At the age of 9 she got her first victory under Future Stars and Gabriela ranked top 8 at National Championships.

Early Career

At the age of 14 Gabriela won “Les Petit As” a premier junior tennis tournament. She was the first player from Canada to win the prestigious “Les Petit As” tournament. In 2009 Gabriela won the Junior Orange Bowl championship, where she defeated Kristina Mladenovic. Gabriela was the second Canadian to win this title after Carling Basset-Seguso.

Gabriela was the runner-up in doubles with her partner Timea Babos in junior Australian Open Championship.

For the first time In 2013 Dabrowski reached WTA final with her partner Shahar Peer. But they were defeated in the final by Anna-Lena Gronefeld and Kveta Peschke.

In 2014 Citi Open tournament Gabriela won her first WTA doubles title in her career. In the same year Dabrowski won her first professional singles title.

In 2015 Pan American Games Gabriela won a gold medal in doubles and silver medal in mixed doubles.
In 2017 Gabriela Dabrowski won WTA Premier Mandatory doubles title in Miami. In 2018 Gabriela won French Open title with her partner Rohan Boppanna. With this match she became first Canadian woman to won a Grand Slam Title.

In 2018 Australian Open Gabriela won mixed doubles with Mate Pavic. This is her Second Grand Slam title.

Gabriela Dabrowski Family

Gabriela Dabrowski father was Yurek Dabrowski and her mother was Wanda Dabrowski. Gabriela comes from a middle class family .In her early career Gabriela father was accompanied her to the tournaments while her mother took a job to earn income.
