Maggie Civantos was born on 28 December 1984 in Malaga, Andalucia, Spain. She graduated in the field of arts. 

Maggie attended Escuela Superior de Arte and Dramatico de Malaga and Later, she moved to Madrid.

Maggie was a theatre artist before coming to the film industry. Civantos started her career in 2004 with the film Kinoglaz and The Waiting (El que espera). From 2007 Maggie has begun appearing in various television series such as Marriage Scenes, Central Hospital and I am Bea.

Maggie starred in Spanish longest-running television series Arrayan. She played the protagonist character, Angelica.

In 2015, Maggie Civantos starred as Macarena Ferreiro in the Locked Up (Vis A Vis), a prison drama series. The series became a big hit and Civantos received a huge appreciation for her extraordinary performance.

Maggie Civantos won the Premios Ondas Award for best actress for her performance in Locked Up.

In 2017 Civantos appeared in Netflix web series Cable Girls and in 2019, she starred in Little Switzerland and she returned to Locked Up the fifth season, which was about to release in 2020.
