Mitchell Starc is an Australian Cricketer who plays for New South Wales and Australian international team. He is a left-arm fast bowler and left-handed batsman in the lower order. Mitchell Starc full name is Mitchell Aaron Starc. He was a prominent bowler in the Australian team and also regarded as one of the most talented fast and furious bowlers in the modern era.

Mitchell Starc was born on 30 January in 1990 in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, Australia. He started his schooling at Home Bush Boys High School in Sydney. From the age of 9, Starc started playing cricket. In his childhood, Starc was fond of wicket keeping and started his career as wicket keeper. He was a wicketkeeper for Berala Sports Cricket Club in Junior Cricket.

Career

At age 14 Starc was spotted by a club coach who insisted him to drop wicket keeping and make bowling as a prominent career. Starc put his concentration on bowling and It worked out well for him.

In his early career, Starc had struggled to make his place in the national team, where the competition is very high. At the age of 19, Starc was debuted for New South Wales. Starc improved his bowling gradually. In 2009 Sheffield Shield games Starc took 21 wickets in six matches, also scored a half-century.

Mitchell Starc made his debut ODI match against Indian in 2010. He got this chance when senior bowlers got injured. In 2011 Starc got selected for the Test series against New Zeland. In two matches Starc took four wickets. After this series, Starc was left out from the squad. He got a call after two years for a Test Series against India. In 2012 Starc was selected for the test match against South Africa, Where he scored fastest fifty and took six wickets. In 2013 in a Test match, Starc scored 99 runs against India.

Mitchell Starc was in super-form in 2015 world cup tournament and led his team to win the cup. He took 22 wickets and received Mant Of The Tournament award. He is also a leading wicket-taker across all forms including first class and international cricket during the 2014-15 period.

In 2016 Starc made a world record taking 100 wickets in 52 matches by breaking Pakistan bowler Saqlain Mushtaq record who took 100 wickets in 53 matches. Later this record was broken by Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan, he took 100 wickets in just 44 innings.

Starc was signed for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash league and Mitchell played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League.
