Amy Jackson is a British model and actress, She mainly appears in Indian films. Her full name is Amy Louise Jackson. Amy was born on 31st January 1992 in Douglas, Isle of Man. Amy Parents are Alan Jackson and Marguerita Jackson. After two years of Amy’s birth, the family moved to Woolton, Liverpool.

Early Career

Amy Jackson studied English Literature, Philosophy and Ethics at St Edward’s College. At the age of 16, Jackson started her modeling career. In 2008 Amy Jackson won Miss Teen Liverpool and Miss Teen Great Britain Pageants. In 2009 Amy won Miss Teen World competition, She was just 17 years old at that time. Also, Amy got 18 prizes including a modeling contract in the United States.

Amy was the runner-up in Miss England in 2010 where she lost to Jessica Linely. Jackson signed her contract with Boss Model Management and she modeled all over Europe.

Acting Career

Tamil Director A.L Vijay spotted Amy in Miss Teen World Website and introduced her into the Indian Cinema. In 2010 she debuted in Tamil Cinema Madrasapattinam, directed by A.L Vijay. This film story is based on the backdrop of Indian pre Independence. She was cast opposite Arya. Amy Jackson appeared as the daughter of Madras governor who falls in love with an Indian. It was a beautiful love story. The film was a huge hit and Amy got praises for her tremendous performance. This movie Madrasapattinam also dubbed into the Telugu language, where it became the average movie.

In 2011 ace director Gautham Menon introduced Amy into the Bollywood, With his film Ekk Deewana Tha. She was featured opposite to Prateik Babbar. The film was released in 2012, It was average at the box office but Amy got a positive response to her acting.

In 2012 Amy Jackson appeared in Tamil movie Thaandavam, Starring opposite Vikram and Anushka Shetty. In 2014 Amy made her debut in the Telugu cinema industry with Yevadu film featuring alongside Ramcharan and Shruthi Hassan.

Indian ace film director Shankar was selected Amy Jackson for his movie “i”, In which she played the role of a supermodel Diya starring opposite to Vikram. “I” was released in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The movie “I” was received mixed talk while Amy’s performance got a positive response and some review websites stated that her performance was beautiful, because of her the movie was survived at the box office.

In 2015 Jackson starred in Bollywood comedy movie Singh is Bling, opposite Akshay Kumar. In the same year, Jackson appeared in Tamil movie Thanga Magan along with Dhanush and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

In 2016 Amy was starred in Gethu movie alongside Udayanidhi Stalin. In the same year, Jackson appeared in Theri along with Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This film was the biggest hit in that respective year and Jackson acting got positive reviews.

In 2017 Amy Jackson has Debuted in the Hollywood. She was cast as Imra Ardeen (Saturn Girl) in the Television Series Supergirl.

Amy Jackson is featured in Shankar’s Magnum Opus 2.0, alongside Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar. It was released in November 2018. 2.0 was the sequel to the Enthiran movie and it was the costliest film in the Indian cinema till today. Amy appeared as a female robot along with Rajnikanth Chitti. 2.0 was the biggest hit in Amy’s career, which was broken all the records at the box office. Later Amy was signed in the Kannada film The Villain alongside Siva Raj Kumar and Sudeep.

Amy Jackson is managing her modeling and cinema career simultaneously. She always switches to Mumbai and London. Present she is serving as a brand ambassador for Yardley and Ponds.

Amy Jackson was an animal lover and she has campaigned for PETA and she supports charities in Mumbai.
