John Aniston is an American actor, best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives.
His birth name is Yannis Anastassakis, He was born in Chania, Greece on 24th July 1933. His family migrated to United States when he was two years old.
On arrival to America his father changed (anglicized) his name to John Anthony Aniston. His family settled in Pennsylvania and started a restaurant business.
Aniston graduated from Pennsylvania University in theatre arts. After college he joined United States Navy, There he served as an intellingence officer and attained the lieutenant commander rank.
Aniston started his acting career in the 1960s, appearing in television shows such as The Defenders, The Fugitive, and The Doctors and the Nurses. In 1969, he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis, a role he has played on and off for over three decades.
Aside from his work on Days of Our Lives, Aniston has also appeared in several movies, including Love with the Proper Stranger, The Shakiest Gun in the West, and The Awakening of Spring.
Aniston has been nominated for several awards throughout his career, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2017 & Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
John Aniston died on November 11, 2022, at the age of 89.

John Aniston’s parents were both Greek immigrants. His father, Antonios Anastassakis, was from the Greek island of Crete, and his mother, Stella Joanne, was from the Greek city of Alexandria in Egypt. Aniston’s parents moved to the United States when he was a child, settling in Pennsylvania. Aniston was raised in a Greek Orthodox family, and he speaks fluent Greek.

John Aniston married actress Nancy Dow in 1965 and took before divorced in 1980. The couple had one child together, actress Jennifer Aniston. Nancy passed away in 2016 at the age of 79.
In 1984, John married his second wife Sherry Rooney. The couple had one child, Alexander Aniston.
